During the second half of 2021, there was a huge influx of asylum seekers in the Netherlands. A large number of them do not have enough warm clothing and other basic necessities, which is extremely hard in the winter months. To help with this situation, the Netherlands Red Cross  started a clothing collection campaign to provide 5000 children, women and men with warm, well-fitting winter clothing and shoes in the coming months. Many businesses in the Netherlands have come forward to support the Red Cross and the people in need by donating lots of clothes and shoes.
